iBookshelf Lite Description

14

iBookshelf is your personal portable library reference. A comprehensive book database, created and continuously maintained through extensive feedback from readers like you.

Watch the demonstration video on YouTube! Search for iBookshelf.

Books are displayed ordered by title, author, genre, and status. You can search for books in your library, and enter a "loan status" to remember who you loaned the book to or borrowed it from. A new book can be entered automatically (enter ISBN and remaining data is loaded from the internet) or manually. If you load the data from the internet, the book cover image is loaded as well. It will even tell you where you can buy the book and how much it costs!

This free version is ad-supported and is 100% full-featured. You may remove all ads via the in-app purchase in the Utilities tab.

Please send me an email with any suggestions you may have and thank you for your positive feedback!

I'm a big library user, but have a fair amount if difficulty remembering the titles/authors is beyond me. I feel stupid trying to tell people about this fabulous book I've read! I'm loving my record if books I've read. The only downside so far is that the app doesn't remind you to save. So I can add all the details of a book, and unless I remember to hit the little "save" button before going back to the main screen I lose it all. I'd also like some date order, so I could see when I'd read books. I will be buying the paid version.

While the free "lite" version has most of the buttons that the full version does, nowhere does it say what the limits are. This became frustrating when trying to decide whether to purchase the full version. It seems (trial and error) that you can put in only 10 books, and the email export features instead quit the app completely (not even a polite "this feature only works in full version, would you like to upgrade?" message).

This app is great. Bought the full version and works like a charm. The scanner upgrade is slick. Worth the .99 cents extra. It is concise and imports all the data you need from the isbn database for free. Other programs like book crawler does not import genre which is key to sorting books. You have to do that manually with book Crawler. Ibookshelf is automatic and still let's you change it if you want.
